How to create a family meal plan when you are all busy

Some families, because they are busy, may make excuses to eat out all the time or eat separately.

However, if you are determined to eat at home and together, it’s possible and family meals are important!

You may need to make some adjustments to your meal planning efforts, but you can do this!

Bring Your Meals With You

Does one of your kids have a sporting event? Are you afraid your meal planning efforts will be pushed to the side? One way to combat eating out is to bring the meal with you! Your family can eat in the car before you go into a sporting event. The upside is everyone has eaten and their bellies will be happy and full!

Eat at Different Times

You may think that meal planning won’t work for your family because you have sports or a busy night ahead. One way to keep meal planning on the menu is to eat at different times.

There are no laws that say you have to eat at 5 P.M. every day. You may need to adjust your meal times earlier or later, according to your schedule. This will help you meal plan and stick to your meal plan.

Do Meal Planning While the Kids Are Busy

Not sure when you’ll find time to meal plan? Well, if your kids are busy and in sports, then you might find it easier to do meal planning when the kids are busy. You can’t meal plan while you are driving the kids around, but you can do it at their practices.

When the kids are busy, you can be busy planning the meals. It’s nice to know that you’ll already be busy doing meal planning, so you can save it for that time period.

It’s easier than you think to create a meal plan for a busy family. It may not be as straight forward as a non-busy family, but you can do this! Whether you have to adjust the meal times or do the meal planning while the kids are at practices, meal planning for a busy family is possible.
