So here you go a delicious pumpkin bread recipe to make in your bread machine.
Pumpkin Bread Machine Recipe
Did you even realize that sweet bread like this could be cooked in your bread maker at home? It’s ever so easy and we use the quick (or rapid) setting and set the crust too dark so that it cooks all the way through.
One of the important things as you make this is to remember that you will need to scrape down the ingredients soon after it starts as, unlike a dough, it won’t continue gathering the dry ingredients whilst kneading.

No-Yeast Sweet Pumpkin Bread Ingredients
This is a no-yeast recipe so baking soda is used as the rising agent, this is because I’ve had so much difficulty over the last year finding yeast that I started to experiment with no-yeast bread maker recipes so that I could continue baking without them.
We’ve used store-bought pumpkin spice mix in the recipe below but have made our own in the past which we have used as well – here’s our favorite pumpkin spice mix recipe.
The ingredients are simple:
- 2/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 ½ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
You’ll need to make sure that you add them in the order listed in the recipe card below UNLESS your instructions for your bread machine says otherwise, as different bread makers have slightly different requirements.
What to Add to This Pumpkin Bread
If you would like to add some extra’s to the bread here’s some things that I have tried that tasted amazing.
