When looking for easy comfort food ideas for the family we know you love steak. This simple recipe for country fried steak with gravy is easy to make and great for mid-week family meals.

Is it Chicken Fried Steak or Country Fried Steak?
Turns out they are the same thing! When visited Louisana I had this in a little diner and it was delicious so we decided to have it for dinner again.

But instead of country fried steak on the menu, there was a chicken fried steak. After asking about it we discovered it’s the same thing and tastes delicious whatever it’s called. It’s not healthy and it’s delicious served with some mashed potatoes or rice and green beans.
When we got home we had to make this country fried steak with bread crumbs and a more authentic US gravy.
