    When it's cold and wet outside we love some good comfort food and this Beef Goulash is ideal.

    Although simple you do need some time to do this it takes around 20 minutes to prep with the browning of the beef and chopping of the vegetables but whilst it cooks you can easily get on with other things.

    What is Goulash

    Goulash is a traditional Hungarian soup/stew. It's a delicious hearty dish that is perfect for winter get a quick overview of this easy beef pasta goulash recipe here.

    It's a mix of meat and vegetables which hearty and warming. Especially with the addition of some spices to the pot.

    Beef Goulash with Pasta

    Yield: 4 people
    Prep Time: 20 minutes
    Cook Time: 30 minutes
    Total Time: 50 minutes

    Delicious comfort food for weekend family meals. This beef goulash with pasta is ready in just under and hour and perfect for cold, rainy days.

    Ingredients

    • 2 lbs ground beef
    • 1 onion (chopped)
    • 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
    • 2 cans of chopped tomatoes
    • 30 oz of pasatta
    • 3 cups water
    • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tbsp Italian herbns
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 16 oz pasta (we used macaroni)

    Instructions

    1. In a large stockpot brown ground beef over medium heat until cooked through.
    2. Drain any excess fat and add the chopped onion and crushed garlic.
    3. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until the onion, is soft and garlic is fragrant.
    4. Add all other ingredients and mix well.
    5. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium-low.
    6. Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes, until macaroni is cooked.
    7. Remove from the heat and serve immediately.one pot meal beef goulash with macaroni noodles
    8. Garnish with a dollop of sour cream or mozzarella cheese if desired.
