Who doesn’t love cookies and cream? Well you and your family do if you are here and these cookies and cream hot cocoa bombs are ideal as an extra special treat for the kids, whether you have them for Christmas morning like us or save them for their birthdays, snow day or just because they are easy to make and you can store them for a few weeks so can be ahead of the game.

These use a silicone mold (here is the one I have) so they are easy to make and not too complicated and although they can take around 4hours to set once set just wrap in cellophane for gifting or store in an airtight container in a cool dark place (so they don’t melt!) you are ready to go.

Remember if you decide to store in the fridge then you will need to bring them to room temperature first so that the hot milk used to melt them doesn’t chill quickly.
Oreo Cookie Hot Cocoa Bombs

A delicious cookies and cream hot cocoa bomb made with Oreo Cookies for a delicious treat that tastes amazing.
Ingredients
- 1 12-ounce package white chocolate chips
- 5 Oreo cookies, cream removed and finely crushed
- 1 packet instant cocoa mix
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 6 cups hot milk to make the bombs
Instructions
- Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate chips are fully melted.
- Add a small amount of crushed Oreos to the bottom each cup of the mold. Set aside the rest of topping the bombs once complete.
- Then put a spoonful of melted chocolate inside one cup on the silicone mold and stir slightly. Use the back of the spoon to spread the chocolate up the sides of the mold. Continue this process until all the molds are coated.
- Set the remaining chocolate aside for sealing and decorating the bombs.
- Allow the chocolate to set completely, around 2 to 3 hours.
- When the chocolate is set, remove each of the chocolate pieces from the mold. Add a small amount of instant hot cocoa mix to half the pieces and top the hot cocoa mix with marshmallows.
- Reheat the chocolate in 15 second intervals until melted. Pick up an empty chocolate piece and dip the edges into the melted chocolate. Carefully place it on top of a filled piece and lightly press it into place. Use your finger to smooth melted chocolate around the seam. Continue until all the chocolate bombs are sealed.
- Drizzle the chocolate over the top of the bombs and decorate with remaining cookie crumbs.
- Allow the chocolate decorations to set before using, around 1 hour.
To make the hot chocolate bombs
- place the bomb in the bottom of a mug.
- Pour one cup of hot milk over the top of the bomb to melt the chocolate.
- When the chocolate is completely melted, stir to combine.
Notes
You can speed up the process by placing the chocolate in the refrigerator. Just cover them and let them set in the fridge until they are firm.
