If there is one day of the year that we put that little bit of extra effort in for breakfast it's Christmas morning. The kids since they were little have been up before dawn and if we have to wait till Christmas lunch then they are hangry! Making sure we have a delicious breakfast is the key to the day (as well as little snacks around). Over the years we've tried a couple of different things and I wanted to share with our favourite Christmas Breakfast Recipes for the big day. So here you go Recipes for Christmas Morning that Kids will love.
Christmas Breakfast Recipes
Whether you are looking for something delicious and hearty that the family will love from grandma to the fussiest eater of them all we've got some ideas that are easy to make and will fill you all up.
Slow Cooker Blueberry French Toast Breakfast Casserole
One of our most popular recipes here on Hey Mom! What's Cooking? and one that in the reviews people recommend making for Christmas morning because it's so easy is our Slow Cooker Blueberry French Toast Casserole.
A fun one for the kids these Christmas Tree Waffles are the most asked for by my daughter, she loves the star, sprinkles and frosting that looks like tinsel on the tree.
Love waffles! Check out our other fun waffle recipes as many would work for Christmas morning too!
Christmas Cinnamon Buns
Whereas my daughter loves waffles, our son is a fan of Cinnamon Swirls and these Cinnamon Swirl Christmas Trees are the easiest of the meals to make. They look fabulous and taste delicious too!
Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Casserole
Not all the family have a sweet tooth so our delicious sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast casserole is perfect. It is filling and if like us you have to head out to exercise the dog it's a great warmer to come back home to before opening your presents.
Cookies and Cream Hot Cocoa
My kids love Oreo Cookies so last year I made some Cookies and Cream Hot Cocoa bombs wrapped them up with a cute Christmas mug and put it in their stockings. Then whilst we enjoyed our Christmas breakfast they were able to have some homemade Oreo Cookie Hot Cocoa which went down fantastically.
