Sugar Plum Fairy Easy Candy Cotton Swirl Fudge
Our daughter is ballet mad and one of her favourites to watch and listen to is the Nutcracker. To surprise her this year I’ve made her some delicious and extra sweet Sugar Plum Fairy Fudge to enjoy whilst we sit down and watch the show on TV. This easy fudge recipe is great for Christmas or a ballet party too!

Homemade Fudge
Fudge is one of my favourite sweet treats to make, this fudge recipe although easy does more closely follow my grandmother’s traditional fudge.
But, unlike her recipes, this one doesn’t need a candy thermometer to make it work so it’s still relatively easy.
Unlike our other homemade fudge this one though does go back to simplicity with the use of heavy cream, butter and sugar to make it.

Flavouring Fudge
We love adding flavour to fudge – you can do it using extra’s like the salt in our salted caramel recipe, adding extra’s like the Oreo’s or Fruit and Nut.
But this version uses candy cotton flavouring to make it extra sweet and delicious.
Be careful with the quantities as you measure as too much makes the fudge a bit too sweet. If you just want pretty vanilla fudge as you aren’t a fan of cotton candy then you can leave this out but don’t forget to colour and swirl to create the sugar plum effect.
