We love pizza, from making our own pizza sauce to giving our Friday Pizza Nights a slight twist with our Waffle Pizzas. These pizza stuffed mushrooms though are one of our favourite easy appetizers to make perfect for a savory snack or if you are hosting friends and family in the future. So here you go some easy stuffed mushrooms to enjoy.
Stuffed Mushrooms
We’ve started to get a vegetable box delivered and inside we often get some amazing mushrooms, these Bella button mushrooms were delivered in it a few weeks ago and I knew just what I wanted to try with them an easy stuffed dish perfect for a snack and when we can again a party.

With the kids loving pizza a pizza style stuffing sounded perfect to try and with the ease of our homemade pizza sauce, these were so simple to make.

Homemade Italian Sausage for Recipe
My sister-in-law introduced us to Italian Sausage when we visited her in the USA. We loved the slightly spiced taste and how it added extra flavour to things when used as a ground meat.

However, you can’t find it in the UK. So we created our own recipe and have some frozen to use in recipes like this. If you can’t get hold of ground Italian Sausage then check out our recipe it’s perfect for using in these stuffed mushrooms.

Easy Stuffed Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Mushrooms
Delicious mushrooms stuffed with tomato, italian sausage, pepperoni and cheese a perfect fancy pizza appetizer or savoury snack.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces baby Bella mushrooms, stems removed
- 1 pound ground Italian sausage
- 1 3.5-ounce package pepperoni, cut into small pieces
- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
- 14 FlOz Homemade Pizza Sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Make up the homemade pizza sauce according to the recipe.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Brown the Italian sausage until cooked through, then add in the pepperoni, cream cheese, and pizza sauce.

- Stir to combine and heat until the cream cheese is melted. Remove the sausage mixture from heat and spoon the mixture into the mushrooms.

- Place each mushroom on a baking sheet. Continue filling the mushrooms until all the caps are full. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top of each stuffed mushroom.

- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, until mushrooms are cooked through and cheese is melted.
