Ingredients for this Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Casserole
- large potatoes, peeled and diced
- ground sausage we love using our Italian Sausage recipe
- cheddar cheese, shredded
- salt
- pepper
- whole milk
- eggs
Step by Step Instructions for Making your Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and prepare a casserole dish by lightly greasing with nonstick cooking spray.

2. Place the diced potatoes in a colander and rinse with cold water until the water runs clear. Allow to drain while you prepare the remaining ingredients.

3. Brown the sausage in a large skillet. When you have cooked sausage, add the potatoes. Season with half the salt and half the pepper and add one cup of shredded cheese.

4. Stir the ingredients to combine, then pour into the prepared dish dish.

5. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs. Pour the egg mixture over the top of the potato mixture, making sure to cover all the ingredients in the baking dish.

6. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes adjust your bake time depending on your oven. Remove the dish from the oven and top with remaining cheese. Bake another 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and potatoes are tender.

7. Allow to rest for 5 minutes at room temperature before serving.
