We love blueberries, there’s always a punnet in our shopping and our youngest loves to have them fresh on her breakfast cereal on a school morning. So when she asked if she could have her favourite waffles with blueberries we decided to give it a go and these were amazing!!! So here you go our delicious blueberry waffles recipe that gets a big thumbs up from the kids perfect for weekend breakfasts when you have time to make the waffle mix up.

Weekends mean that we all have a little more time to spend cooking in the morning and breakfast waffles are the kids favourite on the menu.

They love simple and plain but also this variation that tastes amazing with butter and maple syrup and it’s so easy to make.

Weekend Blueberry Waffles for Breakfast

Delicious and easy to make blueberry breakfast waffles a family favourite for weekend breakfasts.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups full fate milk
- 2 medium eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron to medium heat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add the melted butter and mix until combined.
- Make a well in the flour mixture and add the milk mixture to the bowl. Carefully stir the ingredients until just combined.
- Add the blueberries and stir until incorporated.
- Spray both plates of the waffle maker with nonstick cooking spray. Add 2/3 cup of batter on the waffle maker and close the lid. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until the waffle iron stops steaming.
- Continue cooking until all the batter has been used.
- Serve with some butter and maple syrup poured on top.
