Cinnamon Roll Waffles with Cream-Cheese Frosting

As autumn draws close the smell of cinnamon in the house with baking and cooking is one of our favourites. Cinnamon rolls are easily the eldest favourite breakfast and these delicious breakfast cinnamon roll waffles are so simple to make they’ve rapidly become one of our family favourites. So we just had to share them with you, so here you go a quick and easy breakfast for kids cinnamon roll waffles with a cream cheese frosting.

Easy Breakfast Waffles

Although we love traditional waffles, they can take a little while to make the batter. These easy breakfast waffles for kids (and us!) is really quick.

With ready made cinnamon roll dough from the packet you can make them in just a few minutes.

The cream-cheese frosting is optional, but we think it really finishes them off and the kids love it.

Cinnamon Roll Waffles

As we’ve used ready-made cinnamon roll dough it’s so simple to make these waffles, you just need to add a waffle to each plate of the waffle maker and then cook.

They need less time than if you were to do it in the oven so do keep an eye, we found that 4 – 5 minutes was all they needed.

Cream-Cheese Frosting

This buttercream with cream cheese frosting is a perfect compliment to the cinnamon it’s not to sweet. If you follow our instructions below and heat it for a few seconds in the microwave before pouring over your waffles it’s even better!

Quick and Easy Breakfast Cinnamon Roll Waffles

A delicious and quick breakfast waffle. Made with cinnamon roll dough and a homemade cream-cheese frosting this is easy and yummy for kids breakfasts.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Ready-made cinnamon roll dough
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron. When ready to cook, grease each plate with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place one cinnamon roll on each section of the waffle iron. Press the top of the waffle iron down into the

  3. Cook for four to five minutes, pressing down on the top of the waffle plate again halfway through the cook

  4. Remove the cooked cinnamon rolls from the waffle maker and cook another batch.cinnamon roll waffles in a stack on the plate
  5. While the cinnamon rolls are cooking, prepare the glaze. Beat together the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until smooth.cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a bowl making frosting

  8. Place the mixture in a microwavable bowl and heat for 30 seconds, then drizzle over the top of the

Notes

To keep the waffles warm between batches place in the oven on the lowest heat setting.
